Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) is proud of the diverse resources it has available to assist students in their academic learning experiences. SRTC is especially proud of the numerous assistive services it has available to offer to students experiencing difficulty in their coursework, whether that difficulty is the result of emotional, financial, or academic struggles.
Stay on T.R.A.C.K. Center (Tutoring)
SRTC has created a one-stop resource for addressing student needs. Students can stop by the Stay on T.R.A.C.K. Center for help with classes or help learning how to navigate college resources. The Stay on T.R.A.C.K. Center offers one-on-one assistance to connect students with the resources they need to stay on track.
Online Tutoring Services
With Tutor.com, students can:
- Connect with a tutor and interact live.
- Submit a project or assignment for any class to a tutor for feedback.
- Schedule a session with a tutor.
Library and Media Services
SRTC has Library Services Centers located at most of its campuses. Each Center possesses collections of books, media, and journals that support the curriculum, as well as leisure reading interests. Additionally, computers are available and include general applications, Internet access, reference, an online catalog, and tutorials.
Transfer and Articulation Agreements
SRTC is committed to helping our graduates to pursue their educational and career goals. To this end, SRTC creates partnerships with local colleges and universities. These partnerships allow students to articulate (transfer) credit between the two institutions.
Advisor Information
SRTC’s faculty also serve as advisors for each of their program specialty areas. As advisors, SRTC faculty work closely with students, offering guidance to assist in ensuring academic and career success.
Academic Grade Appeals Process
Students have the right to appeal a final grade or other academic decision if they feel it was unjustly awarded.
DegreeWorks
SRTC has implemented a new degree auditing system called DegreeWorks. DegreeWorks is a web tool that provides real-time advice for students and advisors to monitor the student’s progress towards graduation.

Disability Services
SRTC strives to provide reasonable, quality services to all its students. For students requiring special accommodations, SRTC has numerous resources available to assess and meet those particular needs.
Lending Library Program
The cost of textbooks can be a major expense for college students. For students with limited income or financial aid, this cost can be a potential barrier to completing their program of study. The Student Affairs department is fortunate to have grant funding available to provide book loans to students in need.
Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA)
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program provides assistance to students who are economically disadvantaged, educationally disadvantaged, underemployed, and/or dislocated workers who meet residency requirements. Funding may be available to cover costs of tuition, fees, books, uniforms, equipment, required physical examinations, child care, and transportation.
